CO2 laser – the gold standard for scar revision and skin resurfacing. Use precise fractional laser energy to combine coagulation, heat and ablative effects. What happens during the Alma Hybrid™ laser procedure?
On cleansed skin, a layer of topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area. After 20 minutes for the numbing to take effect, our medspa practitioner will pass the laser across the treatment area.
Immediately after the Alma Hybrid™ laser treatment, you can resume your daily activities as normal.
How long is the Alma Hybrid™ Laser recovery period?
Since the technology of Alma Hybrid laser is so advanced, the downtime is significantly reduced. However, patients may experience some redness, potential swelling and tenderness following this treatment, which can be managed with topical applications, advised by Dr. Wang and team.
How many Alma Hybrid™ Laser treatments will I need?
Depends on your individual skin concerns and skin type. If your scars are very deep, pitted, or significantly aged, you may need a course of treatments. Generally, we recommend a course of 3 treatments at 12 weekly intervals. Some patients with heavier scaring will need up to 5 treatments.
However, some patients see great results even after just one session. The number of treatments you may need will be discussed during your consultation with Dr. Wang.
